Cleaning the bottom

Large dirt particulates, which settle to the bottom or stick to swimming pool walls, are removed using a vacuum cleaner. The bottom cleaning kit consists of a vacuum cleaner, a telescope rod and a suction hose. The suction hose should be connected to the vacuum cleaner and by means of a telescope rod it should be submerged in water. Next, manoeuvre the vacuum cleaner in order to remove air and fill the suction hose with water In order to fill the hose, you can also use the water stream of the inlet nozzle. The other end of the hose is connected to the skimmer by means of a special plate mounted in the strainer basket. The suction hose should at all times be filled with water.

If there is a lot of pollution at the bottom – for example after shock disinfection, you might want to vacuum with direct outflow of water to sewage system, without exploitation of the filter. Normally, you do not need to disconnect the filter. Clean the pool’s walls and bottom, then switch on the pump. Disconnect the hose and the plate in the skimmer’s basket and clean the strainer. Close the valves on the conduits supplying water to the pool and empty the pump strainer.
